There’s not much change today, so I focused on another inhabitant of the pond; the Pond Skater.
I’ve noticed these on the surface, quietly waiting for insects. It was difficult to get a photograph because they seemed to sense my presence, disappearing out of the frame as soon as I managed to steady the camera.
The video of the Pond Skater is a bit underwhelming because it didn’t do much, so I did take a video of the tadpoles too; a close up of feeding on food flakes. Plenty of tadpoles to be seen and no sign of mass predation yet. I keep imagining what it might sound like with several hundred frogs around. Quite a chorus.
