It’s been a few days since I last posted an update. I took a few pictures and some video clips on Tuesday. Lots of staying very still and dramatic jumping, but nothing to distinguish this post enough to warrant a fancy title. So just an update.
Mind you, since then, I’ve discovered froglets all over the garden. The most worrying finds are in the lawn and around the edges of the wild grass section. The mower hasn’t been out for a while due to heavy rain but I really need to mow the lawn tomorrow. So, with my new understanding that frogs don’t much like noise and disturbance, I’m going to make a big, noisy fuss, and then start the mower for a while, and then work my way slowly around, giving them time to hop out of the way to safety. I’ll keep you posted!

Just in case you missed it, here’s a screen capture from the last clip showing the frog leaping. Interesting to see that its feet are still firmly planted while its body is almost out of the frame – lightening quick. Which bodes well for the essential mowing tomorrow.
