More pictures of damselflies. They stay still for ages, so I can capture a decent shot on my phone. Here I saw mating damselflies and a solitary specimen.
Frogs are usually quite obliging, playing dead for a while, so I get a few images saved before they make a leap for safety. I haven’t seen a frog for a while but here’s a nice one, found under a coping stone. I’ve used close up but also added a picture giving an idea of the actual size compared to the brick it was sitting on.
I also disturbed one while rearranging the rocks around the pond. Now that’s the first I’ve seen anywhere near the new pond, so that’s good news. But before I could reach for the phone, s/he had jumped into the pond, swum under the waterlily and out the other side under a nice damp rock. Hey ho.
