Happy new year to all frog lovers out there. I’m looking out into a frozen landscape at the moment, and not a creature in sight. According to the Woodland Trust, ‘frogspawn appears in ponds from January onwards, depending on the weather and the region (the South West usually has the first sightings). By March, you should be able to spot frogspawn in ponds across the UK’. So roll on March as our garden is in the UK Midlands and quite a shady spot too.
