The tadpoles have emerged from the spawn clump and are now feasting on its nutrients. Some have developed a little further and are swimming free in the pond. The adult frogs have mostly disappeared under rocks and leaf piles, emerging after dark to eat. In the garden generally, the lawn has had its first cut and spring flowers are starting to bloom.
