I’ve noticed that the tadpoles are becoming more wary of me when I approach the pond.
They dash to the bottom when my shadow falls across the water. I’m wondering if this caution is good learning for when they eventually emerge from the water. Anyway, this new shyness means it’s tricky to get any good footage, but here are a few clips showing quite advanced back legs on some of them and developments in the shape of the body too.
