After a few days away admiring some of England’s finest cathedrals, it was time to check on the health of the ponds and remove excessive blanket weed from Tiny Pond and Lion Pond, topping up the levels with rainwater from the butts. All seems well and I spotted my first little toad near Lily Pond as well as the more familiar frog in Lion Pond.
